Following recent rumors of an upcoming Star Wars game from Quantic Dream, the leaker behind them suggests that an official reveal may be coming soon.

A Star Wars game developed by Quantic Dream seems like a marriage of the perfect property and studio. Leaker Tom Henderson follows up his claim, suggesting that Quantic Dream's Star Wars game may have an official reveal soon.

Previously, Henderson, a writer for Dualshockers, teased a possible Quantic Dream Star Wars game through a cryptic tweet featuring a screenshot of Detroit: Become Human covered by intersecting lightsabers. Shortly after, Henderson added to the original leak, stating that the title had been in development at Quantic Dream for "around 18 months." Quantic Dream is responsible for some of the industry's most immersive, story-driven games like Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human, titles that prioritize dialogue and player choice. One can only imagine what type of story can be told if Quantic Dream got its hands on Star Wars.

In a new tweet, Henderson continues to detail his Quantic Dream Star Wars leak, now providing context for the parties involved. He starts by name-dropping Unit Image, stating, "Quantic Dream is preparing a Star Wars teaser with Unit Image," followed by a link to its website. Unit Image is a well-established and highly respected animation studio out of Paris, France, who has helped create countless video game projects including the trailers for Far Cry 6, Death Stranding, and God of War. Its involvement here would indicate that a breathtaking Star Wars reveal like the Beyond Good and Evil 2 E3 2017 trailer could be on the way.

The final part of the tweet should not come as a surprise, it pertaining to Disney. Henderson writes, "The teaser is pending Disney's approval," which makes sense, as Disney has long been the intellectual owner of the Star Wars brand. He doesn't provide specifics about the teaser nor how long Disney has been looking at it, but based on the rumors of how long the game has been in development for, and the matter of Disney's approval, it seems like fans could expect a reveal at any time. However, Disney in the past has saved its Star Wars announcements for events, as it did with Gamescom and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, so perhaps more waiting is in order.

Video game output since Disney's acquisition has been spotty, but going forward, there are almost too many titles to keep track of. There's Ubisoft's open world Star Wars game, the Jedi: Fallen Order sequel, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the multiplayer oriented Star Wars: Hunters, the recently announced Knights of the Old Republic Remake, and now this Quantic Dream title potentially. The output of Star Wars games is increasing, as is the variety of them. Fingers crossed fans can find out about this title soon, for better or worse.
