Fortnite Season 8 features plenty of bounty board locations scattered throughout the island, and this guide reveals them all.

Fortnite Season 8 is officially underway, introducing a new slate of content for players to discover over the next few months. While each new season introduces new weapons, locations, and other things, some elements remain the same. One of these unchanging elements are the Bounty Boards, which are more abundant this time around than ever before.

Epic Games' popular free-to-play battle royale title is entering its second week of its Season 8. The current season's Battle Pass diverges from the crossover-heavy trend of the past few seasons, featuring just a single crossover character in the form of Marvel's Carnage. The Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass also expands on the customization introduced with the Kymera alien skin with Toona Fish, which players can collect a vast array of colors for.

Fortnite Season 8 Bounty Board Locations

For the latest Fortnite season, Epic Games has included more Bounty Board locations than ever before. With a robust 18 different spots, players will want to be sure to memorize the majority if they're looking for extra ways to earn extra Gold Bars, or if they're just looking for a hunt. The Season 8 Bounty Boards are distributed fairly evenly around the island, with the space between Weeping Woods to Lazy Lake and Corny Crops to Dirty Docks being the only significant exceptions. Fortnite resource Fortnite.GG has compiled a map of the exact location of Season 8's Bounty Boards.

First introduced in Chapter 2 Season 5, Fortnite's Bounty Boards are just what they sound like; players can approach a board and interact with it to be assigned a random player bounty. A target forms on the player's map in the form of a circle which, as time begins to dwindle, will slowly shrink to reveal a more accurate location. Players have six minutes to track the bounty down, which can be poached by other opponents. Should players eliminate their target successfully, they'll be rewarded with Gold Bars. Fortnite appears to be emphasizing bounties this season on account of the significantly increased number of boards.

In addition to adding more Bounty Boards, Fortnite may soon be adding a brand new mechanic that could permanently shake up the game's meta. According to a reputable Fortnite dataminer and leaker, Epic Games is working on adding a sliding movement feature. While its unclear if the ability will be innate or an equippable item, a file reportedly reveals it will increase players' field of vision by 15 when actively sliding, and will also shake the camera when being performed. There's no official word on if or when the mechanic will be introduced, so players will want to keep an eye out.

Players looking to stock up their Gold Bar reserves sooner than later should take advantage of Fortnite Season 8's numerous Bounty Board locations. It also wouldn't hurt to track down the new Carnage and Venom Mythic Weapons, which should give players the best shot at surviving a bounty encounter.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One. and Xbox Series X/S.
