The Sepulchra Breteira Sniper Rifle is the best long-range weapon in Deathloop. Here's a look at how to get it.

Deathloop may only have "four levels to explore" but the game is much deeper than it appears on the surface. Players should be familiar with the structure of each level after a few loops but it's impressive how much each location changes during the Morning, Noon, Afternoon, and Evening. A great example of this is Updaam, which goes through a pretty intense transition in the Afternoon hours.

Snow flurries blanket the area and the thick clouds turn the entire area a sickly gray. The preparations for Aleksis' nightly party are in full-swing, with a stage popping up near the Library, a massive canon overlooking the cliff by Karl's Bay, and some rather angry Eternalists patrolling the area. It's here that Colt can get his hands on one of the most powerful weapons available in Deathloop.

How To Find The Present

Getting the Sepulchra Breteira is actually quite a bit easier than snagging some of Deathloop's other Legendary weapons. As soon as Colt leaves the tunnels in Updaam during the Afternoon hours, he'll be "contacted" by an agitated Eternalist. She'll inform the protagonist that she has left him a present in front of the Dorsey Mansion. For those unfamiliar with the location, it's the massive gated home that sits on the cliffside at the far northern edge (from the Tunnels) of the zone. It's also the spot that Aleksis hosts his party during the Evening.

Those that know how to quickly get to Colt's Apartment can rush there and spot the present sitting in an open space near the gate of the mansion grounds. Players unfamiliar with the area can follow the path below to get there quickly.

The Easiest Path To The Dorsey Mansion

There is a large stage set up near the Library during the afternoon hours in Updaam so players are likely to meet a ton of resistance if they head that direction. Players can use the following directions to get to the Dorsey Mansion without alerting any Eternalists.

Players should start by exiting the right-most door within the Tunnels and heading towards the massive neon "Candy" sign down the pathway. They'll spot a small pathway tucked between two buildings about halfway towards the sign.

From there, players can slip up the rocky slope next to the large building on the right and head towards the rooftops ahead.

There's a single Eternalist located near the rooftop here, but they're crouched down and messing with a "domino-like contraption" they've made out of boxes, so they're easy to sneak up behind and eliminate. Players can also set off their devious trap and watch the end result for a twisted but comedic little Easter Egg. Afterward, players should hop onto the large roof near them.

Once on the roof, players will spot a small path across the nearby large gate that will take them around another large building.

Up ahead there are two Eternalists fiddling with a Canon. Those that don't have the Cat Fall Trinket will want to pay close attention to this interaction. After witnessing the event, Colt can hop down towards The Moxie and continue under the archway to avoid any Eternalists.

From there, he can slip past the sweeping Camera (or hack it) and then through the long "hallway" through the mountainside.

Once on the other side, players will spot the massive foxhead jutting from the mountainside and the gates of the Dorsey Mansion. The present lies in wait around the corner.

How To Find The Sepulchra Breteira Sniper Rifle

There are multiple ways to secure the Sepulchra Breteira Sniper Rifle once Colt has found the present. The rifle itself is one an Eternalist that is lying in wait to ambush the protagonist. As expected, if players do pull the lever located on the side of the large present, they'll be swarmed by Eternalists. This is one option, and those that prefer to handle things "loud" can simply lay waste to the would-be assassins and claim their prize.

The Eternalist that's holding the Legendary weapon will be perched in a window, taking shots at Colt while he fights against the alerted patrols. Players that have a Rapier can spot the Eternalist in a window directly across from the present (in the building to the right of Colt's apartment. Once quick headshot will do them in, but it will alert all the guards in the area. For those that are unprepared, it's easy to be overwhelmed. Thankfully, it's possible to grab the Sepulchra Breteira Sniper Rifle without alerting anyone, if players are sneaky enough.

How To Get The Sepulchra Breteira Sniper Rifle Easily

It's entirely possible to take out the Eternalist and secure the Legendary Sepulchra Breteira Sniper Rifle without alerting any of the guards or setting the ambush in motion. To do so, players should avoid pulling the lever on the present and, instead, turn around and head towards the building directly across from it (the one to the right of Colt's Apartment).

By moving around the right side of the building, players can enter a doorway and then find another doorway inside and to the right that leads up a staircase. The Eternalist is lying in wait inside an apartment in the back right corner from the top of the staircase but they're being guarded by two other Eternalists.

Players should avoid running into this room if they want to do things quietly. Instead, they can open the door and incapacitate the two guards quickly before taking out the Eternalist near the window. If everything is done quickly and quietly, Colt should be able to snag the weapon without alerting anyone else.

The Sepulchra Breteira Sniper Rifle is a fantastic weapon that comes packed with a long-range scope, allowing players to more easily secure headshots. It's a great weapon for picking off Eternalists from afar, without alerting the rest of the group.
