A reputable Nintendo leaker hints at possible Nintendo Direct reveals with a chart listing a variety of potential announcements for the show.

It's always an exciting time for Nintendo fans whenever a new Nintendo Direct presentation rolls round, and as it turns out, the next Nintendo Direct is right around the corner. It's been confirmed by Nintendo that the next Nintendo Direct will take place on Thursday, September 23 at 3pm PT and it will be a whopping 40 minutes long, focusing primarily on Nintendo Switch games launching this winter.

While Nintendo itself just gave the official confirmation of the September 2021 Nintendo Direct recently, the event leaked ahead of time thanks to SamusHunter. SamusHunter has accurately leaked Nintendo news in the past, and they had previously said that they believed a Nintendo Direct would be taking place this week. Now that the Nintendo Direct is official, SamusHunter has provided a chart of "possible reveals" for the Nintendo Direct. SamusHunter stressed that this is not a leak, but more of a hint and a "general indication" of things fans may see if they tune in.

SamusHunter's chart lists a variety of games that are releasing in the near-future for the Nintendo Switch, not just winter titles. This includes Metroid Dread and Mario Party Superstars, two Switch exclusives that are set to launch in October. November Switch games are also represented on the chart, like Shin Megami Tensei 5 and Pokemon. With these games all set to launch for the Nintendo Switch soon, it would make sense for Nintendo to spend some time hyping them up, even if the Direct is going to mainly focus on winter games.

As far as brand new announcements go, SamusHunter's chart predicts five possible reveals at the show. This would include the rumored new Xenoblade game that was previously leaked and a new Kirby game. The Resident Evil Switch exclusive that's been leaked by numerous sources is also a possibility. The rumored new Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controller is also a possibility, as is a "new service," though what exactly that means remains to be seen.

It's also possible that Nintendo will use the Nintendo Direct to provide updates to games that are already out on the Switch, like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It seems like a safe bet that Nintendo will use the Nintendo Direct to reveal the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character, though fans may want to keep their expectations in check just in case. As for Animal Crossing, it's possible that the rumored big New Horizons fall update will be revealed at the Direct, and if so, it will be interesting to see if there was any truth to the Brewster rumors.

And finally, the chart lists potential third-party games that fans may learn more about at the Nintendo Direct, like the leaked Castlevania Advance Collection or a possible Switch port of Alan Wake Remastered. Whether or not any of these games are present at the Nintendo Direct is unclear, so fans will just have to tune in to find out for sure.
