The Lead Quest Designer for Cyberpunk 2077 is asking fans on Twitter for feedback as to what works and what doesn't work with the game's quests.

Video game discourse on Twitter can often quickly turn toxic when debating a divisive title. Games such as The Last Of Us Part II have experienced this during its first few months of release. Despite this, the Lead Quest Designer for Cyberpunk 2077 took to Twitter to ask fans for feedback on the game’s quests, hoping to learn what works, what doesn’t, and why.

Cyberpunk 2077, from its announcement back in May of 2012 to its release on December 10th, 2020, was one of the most hyped-up video games of all time. Fans have been clamoring for a large Cyberpunk AAA game for some time now. And what better studio to bring that to life other than CD Projekt Red, the developers responsible for The Witcher 3, one of the most beloved open-world games in the past decade. Unfortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t meet those expectations for many fans.

Despite Cyberpunk 2077 being divisive, many fans still saw potential in the title and believe it could eventually reach that greatness they were expecting with more updates. Pawel Sasko, the lead quest designer for Cyberpunk 2077 asked on Twitter for feedback on the game's many questlines. Quests that were positively mentioned were those that had an engaging and narratively rich storyline such as Sinnerman, the Aldecaldos questline, and the questline involving River Ward. Quests that were often brought up as ones that needed improvement were the Cyberpsychos side quests where less story and more combat was involved.

Many fans found the Cyberpsychos questlines to be generally forgettable and were more interested in questlines that further immersed players in the world. Despite being a divisive title, fans still want to see Cyberpunk 2077 evolve and that is part of the reason the feedback on Twitter was generally given with respect.

Although questlines in large open world titles can be difficult to make engaging, Cyberpunk 2077 still had many great quests including ‘Heroes’ and more mentioned in the post. The developers wanting feedback on the quests also show that they still care very much about Cyberpunk 2077 and want to improve it any way they can.

The developers are still actively working on Cyberpunk 2077 hoping to improve it to the standard fans were initially expecting, but it’s not confirmed when these updates or improvements will hit the title as the Cyberpunk 2077 roadmap is still a bit unclear.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
