For Sable fans confused about the mystery surrounding the power outage in Eccria and who the culprit is, here is how to conduct the investigation.

Only a few games are able to emphasize players' decisions and how it affects the game world like Sable. Sable is an open-world game created by indie developers following the story of a young girl named Sable leaving her home for the first time.

Of the many locations in Sable that players can visit, the city of Eccria is one of the more vibrant places with plenty of mystery to go around. Upon arrival, gamers will find out that the power to the city has been cut and are instructed to find the culprits responsible.

However, this quest can be pretty confusing and requires an in-depth investigation to collect all facts. So for Sable fans looking to find who the culprit is, here is how to solve the mystery behind the cut power.

Talking to Sandip

The Sable story quest starts when gamers confront a guard named Sandip. He states that he needs someone he can trust, and since Sable is an outsider, she will have an unbiased opinion on the investigation. Sandip then tells Sable to bring a new power core to an engineer who can help restore power while looking for clues.

Hamza, the Machinist

Gamers should then follow the waypoint to Hamza the Machinist. After delivering the old power reactor and running through the different dialogue options, he will tell Sable that he is suspicious of Iria, the local merchant.

Iria, the Merchant

Iria can be found in the main room above the market. A guard blocks the door that gamers can get past by bribing them with money or pomegranates found in the desert outside the city. Once there, she will tell Sable that she was in the market during the power cut and to ask the guards for an alibi. Iria then instructs gamers that she suspects the Climber Garay for the power outage.

Garay, the Climber

Garay can be found sitting on some boxes under the bridge where gamers first entered Eccria to talk to Sandip. He is hesitant to talk to Sable but reveals that he suspects Hazma, since he was in debt with the merchants. Garay was also trying to make a quick sale when the power was out, so he became a suspect as well.

Delivering the New Power Core

After talking to Garay, check back in with Sandip, and he will say that the old core has been repaired and is ready to be taken to Atomic Heart to bring power back to the city. While there, fans will need to find some clues straight from the crime scene itself.

By following the massive powerlines outside of the large desolate game world, players will eventually arrive at Atomic Heart. After using the key card to get inside, players must go through the vent and bring the new core to the room with the large red double helix.

Finding the Culprit

After collecting enough evidence at the crime scene and seeking out additional testimonies from locals, gamers can finally make a case against one of the suspects. Some of the most important facts for this quest being:

- Hamza is in debt with the merchant, and a promissory note was left at the scene.

- Garay was trying to sell something before the power went out. Additionally, only a genuinely athletic person would be able to climb in and out of the room.

- Iria was the one to profit the most from the blackout. And multiple aspects of the crime scene looked staged as if to accuse someone else.

The quest is meant to be open to interpretation about who did it, it is likely that all are involved in some way. Gamers are able to accuse any of the suspects and they will still be rewarded for their efforts. However, It is recommended that players choose to accuse Iria, since that has the least amount of consequences.

Sable is out for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
