In a surprise announcement, it's confirmed that the complete Marvel's Avengers experience is coming to Xbox Game Pass in a matter of days.

Last year, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics launched Marvel's Avengers, a live service game starring some of Marvel's most popular heroes. Marvel's Avengers has struggled to maintain an audience since its launch, but it's set to get a massive influx of new players. It's been announced that Marvel's Avengers is coming to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service in a matter of days, launching on Thursday, September 30.

Marvel's Avengers will be playable through Xbox Game Pass on PC, Cloud, and Console, and it includes all of the major post-launch content that has been released for the live service game so far. This lets players not only play through the base game story for Marvel's Avengers and its multiplayer modes, but also the new hero episodes starring Hawkeye and Kate Bishop. As if that weren't enough, the Marvel's Avengers Xbox Game Pass debut also includes the recently released War for Wakanda expansion.

The Marvel's Avengers: War for Wakanda expansion is the game's most substantial post-launch content to date. It adds Black Panther to the roster as a playable character and pits players against Ulysses Klaue, who is trying to steal Vibranium from Wakanda. Future expansions and updates will also be part of Xbox Game Pass, though it wasn't specified exactly how long the game will remain on Xbox Game Pass.

Basically, those that play Marvel's Avengers through Xbox Game Pass will be getting a nearly complete experience. They won't be able to access the PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man content when it releases later this year, but otherwise they should be able to look forward to all future content updates hitting the Xbox Game Pass version of the game. They will also be missing out on the Marvel's Avengers Endgame Edition cosmetics, though those can be accessed by purchasing the DLC upgrade for those that really want them.

With Marvel's Avengers struggling to maintain a playerbase, the game's debut on Xbox Game Pass could prove to be one of the best things for it. The game hitting the Xbox Game Pass service will undoubtedly increase its player count, and it's possible these players could be persuaded to keep playing the game for the long-term if Crystal Dynamics is able to add more worthwhile content to the Marvel's Avengers experience.

With the first Marvel's Avengers Raid on the horizon, there's plenty for fans of the game to get excited about, and now that it's coming to Xbox Game Pass, even more players will get to participate than ever before.
