To purchase items from merchants, players will need a lot of gold for the best gear. Here's where to find more!

Quick Links

To buy anything from most merchants in Aragami 2, players will need gold, which can be tricky to obtain, especially in the early parts of the game. However, there are definitely a couple of repeatable ways to optimize one's gold gain.

In between taking out guards and pilfering various prizes, players will have to keep an eye out for gold in every mission as well as remember where each bit of treasure spawns for the future. Farming gold can be a bit tedious, however, the most reliable methods can help one decrease the time spent acquiring loot in Aragami 2.

Discover Hold Much Gold Is In Each Mission

When at the job board, players can see how much gold is available in each mission. On the dark grey window, between the amount of Exp gained and the number of collectibles, players will find a light grey text field with a coin and a value representing how much gold it is possible to find in that specific mission.

It is important to note that the gold available in each mission will decrease each time that it is completed, meaning that players cannot farm a single mission forever. In fact, after 1 or 2 playthroughs of a mission, players should never bother returning specifically to obtain more gold, as less-played missions will always offer more goods.

Using Shadow Sense To Spot Gold From Far Away

The best way to spot gold while on a mission is to use one's Shadow Sense. Shadow Sense does not require any stamina and will highlight all gold in the area in green while making everything else monochromatic gray. The high contrast will make searching for gold significantly easier.

Additionally, peering at one's surroundings from higher perches will make the task of seeking out gold even easier due to the greater visibility one has from above.

Learn What Gold Looks Like Without Shadow Sense

When it comes to the most common form of gold found in missions (brown coin pouches), players will have a tough time spotting them without Shadow Sense, even if very close to one and staring directly at it. This is due to the game's somewhat desaturated color palette which makes duller browns and greens partially blend together.

However, there are other forms of gold that can be found in missions besides coin pouches, such as chests and other valuable objects. These can often be spotted fairly easily without Shadow Sense, though, can sometimes look like scenery unless one has memorized what certain forms of gold look like.

Aragami 2 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
