Twitch Streamer named Destiny responds to both his stalker and some angry fans about their claims that he is manipulative and ungrateful.

Many Twitch streamers these past two years have grouped up to play games together and socialize to avoid these lonely quarantine times. While this has led to some fun interactions, not all of these instances are pleasant for the streamers. The platform still has its fair share of Twitch streamer controversy, which goes from harmless trash talking to potentially harmful situations.

One of the newest instances of a potentially harmful situation involves a Twitch streamer that goes by Destiny. Destiny, whose real name is Steven Bonnell, was interacting with another streamer known as Ana Vior. When Ana Vior started having feelings for him, but Bonnell wasn't reciprocating, she lashed out on Twitter and accused him of having abusive behavior towards women.

Many Twitch users have taken Vior's side and lashed out at Bonnell, saying that she is "cute and harmless" and that Destiny should be grateful that someone like her is interested in him. So yesterday, Bonnell responded to these comments, and Vior's tweet, on stream and is calling Vior insane. Additionally, he pointed out that if the roles were reversed she would instantly be a canceled Twitch streamer.

It wasn't Vior's tweet alone that sparked this response from Destiny. Allegedly, she has been private messaging multiple other Twitch streamers and his friends in an attempt to make him look like the bad guy in the situation. Bonnell claims that he has even banned her on all platforms for the past six months. However, she continues to find ways to message him and his friends, most likely by creating new accounts each time.

From Vior's perspective, she claims that Bonnell shouldn't have acted so nice to her and led her on. And that by fully understanding her feelings for him, it is still manipulative, even if unintentional. However, being nice to someone doesn't mean people owe them a deeper romantic connection. Bonnell's actions also don't justify her attempts to message all of his friends and co-workers to get them on her side. Or, in Bonnell's words, to trap him into a relationship or friendship.

Luckily, many of Destiny's fans have taken his side and are defending him in this situation. Not only that, but others have also brought up how this relates to a bigger issue of men not supporting each other when men are suffering from abuse. The point was brought up that men are quick to laugh off other guys' problems, whereas if Bonnell was a woman, people would rush to their aide. The faster this double standard is gotten rid of, the faster these problems can be fixed in general.
