New Free PlayStation Plus Games for October 2021
PlayStation Plus subscribers have plenty to look forward to on October 5 as October 5 marks the first Tuesday of the month. The PlayStation Store updates on Tuesdays, and the first Tuesday of each month is the day when the old free PlayStation Plus games are cycled out and replaced with the new batch of games. Sony has not announced the free PlayStation Plus games for October 2021 at the time of this writing, but a credible leak may have let the cat out of the bag.
According to the leak, the free PS Plus games for October 2021 will be headlined by PS5 game Hell Let Loose, joined by PGA Tour 2K21 and Mortal Kombat X as the PS4 offerings. Rumors have been swirling about the identity of this final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character, though there's one theory that's been picking up steam.
Months ago, an anonymous 4chan user claimed that they worked for Disney and Nintendo had contacted the company about using Kingdom Hearts music for a digital event on October 5. This post was made months before Nintendo announced the date of the Sakurai Presents, which has led some to believe that there is credibility to this claim, and that it means Sora from Kingdom Hearts will be the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character.
However, there is no additional evidence beyond this, and it could've been a lucky guess. Needless to say, fans should keep their expectations in check and wait to learn of the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character straight from the source when the event kicks off on October 5.
