Destiny 2 is one of those games where players experience FOMO, especially with Season Passes, but a player finds a creative solution to this.

Destiny 2's seasonal model offered Bungie a system to implement content in smaller bits, while also retaining players thanks to new things being released every week with each Season. Season Passes also typically come with a bunch of goodies for players to snatch, making each Destiny 2 Season all the more worthwhile to play to get the most out of those as well. As customary, Season Passes contain a new Exotic weapon, seasonal armor sets and guns, a plethora of Bright Engrams and Exotic Engrams, and finally several ornaments or other cosmetic items.

There is a lot included in Season Passes, and even more content is included with the associated Season as well, which unfortunately marks Destiny 2 as a game where players experience the so-called FOMO (fear of missing out). This is especially true now that a large chunk of in-game content was secluded into the Destiny Content Vault when Beyond Light launched, making all that's left and all that comes with new Seasons almost necessary to play through in the eyes of players. This is precisely what FOMO is about, and Bungie could partly address it by having Season Passes adopt the same model as Halo Infinite's.

Another issue came in the form of Bungie selling Beyond Light with a Deluxe Edition that grants access to all Seasons from after the expansion's launch, meaning everything in between Destiny 2's Season of the Hunt and Season of the Lost. What bothers players is that they can't really upgrade past Season Passes and claim their rewards, even if they paid for it. As such, a Reddit user by the name of GoldenHawk07 shared a great method for players to get what they're due by getting creative with the Companion App.

In fact, players can download an older version of Destiny 2's Companion App by following a link included in GoldenHawk07's post, which can be done both on Android phones and PC. This APK makes it so the chosen device installs a previous version of the Companion App, which can then be accessed as usual, and it will feature all the missing rewards from Destiny 2's Beyond Light Seasons for those players who purchased them, even if they didn't play at the time. This is particularly great to get seasonal Exotic weapons that would now be relegated to the Monument to Lost Light in the Tower, which can save players lots of materials.

This discovery doesn't only allow players to claim what they are entitled to, but it also poses the question as to why Bungie doesn't make this official instead of forcing players to find alternative solutions. This adds to the list of many features players want to see in Destiny 2, including nerfs for Overload Champions. It should be noted that Bungie might fix this soon, so players who haven't claimed their items just yet may want to do that as soon as possible.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
