Holiday seasons are some of Dead by Daylight's most joyous occasions. Behaviour Interactive presents month-long themed festivities for the respective season, which may include new chapter or mid-chapter launches as well as uniquely themed cosmetics or items.
Halloween is now nearly upon players and Dead by Daylight is once again celebrating the festive season with a month of exciting events and releases. Today marks the beginning of October, and Behaviour has been quick to share a tentative schedule of events planned for particular days and spans of time throughout the month that players can look forward to.

Dead by Daylight's October 2021 event schedule most notably features the launch of Mikaela Reid, Dead by Daylight's newest survivor character, who releases on October 19 and explicitly represents Halloween's spooky, festive theme. Then, Dead by Daylight's latest Halloween in-game event will be featured between October 21 and November 4. Details are not unveiled yet about what players may expect to see, but if the game's annual events are any indication it will likely provide new cosmetics and items with a Halloween theme for players to enjoy.
The month starts off with the return of a free Charm cosmetic depicting Dwight as a scarecrow that players can retrieve by redeeming the code "Dwightcrow." This Charm is available now and until October 31, so players have the entire month to redeem it. There are a couple of different events for Dead by Daylight Mobile planned, including The Hallowed Festival from October 12 to November 22, and a community challenge between October 22 and October 29.
Many of these dates overlap with one another, but one may not affect another due to compartmentalized Dead by Daylight playerbases. Gamers who play Dead by Daylight exclusively on PC, for example, may not be particularly concerned with what goes on during the mobile edition's events. Likewise, players who do not follow up with Dead by Daylight's chosen social media embassadors may not be concerned with Twitch's livestream events.
Further, a substantial number of balance updates will also be implemented during the Hour of the Witch's chapter release, with players having already had the opportunity to experience some of these changes through the game's Public Test Build server. More news will be shared about the latest holiday festivities soon, thus marking the month as an exciting time for fans of both Dead by Daylight and the spooky season.
Dead by Daylight is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
