People want to see the Snyderverse return after an HBO Max event seemed to confirm Zack Snyder's Justice League was a worldwide hit.

Fans of the DC Extended Universe movies were once again calling for the restoration of the SnyderVerse following a Warner Bros. presentation for HBO Max. Recently, Justice League got a much better and more accurate release that reflected the vision Zack Snyder originally intended.

This all started with the release of the 2017 version of Justice League, which wasn't received well at all by fans or critics. Joss Whedon's cut of Justice League deterred far from the theme of the previous film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which was a much darker and gritty film. Gone were the emotional scenes, high stakes, and killing in Snyder's previous DCEU films. These themes were replaced with forced humorous scenes, lighthearted dialogue, and major deviations from the established character personalities, which many fans complained about. Once fans found out the truth of what really happened behind the scenes, they started to call for justice.

Snyder was in constant debate with Warner Bros. over creative choices on Justice League and after the unfortunate loss of his daughter, the director had to step away. Whedon took over the film after that, and this is when many changes to the film and the mistreatment of talent started to take place. Justice League quickly felt like it was trying to be an Avengers sequel rather than a DC movie. After fan feedback, Snyder got his second shot, delivering his true vision for the film on HBO Max while also honoring his daughter and closing this chapter of his life. However, Warner Bros. appeared to have no desire to continue the DCEU as Snyder had envisioned.

Celebrating the European launch of HBO Max, Warner Bros. did a presentation about the streaming service. At one point during the presentation, something was said that made fans call for Warner Bros. to restore Snyder's DCEU. "We've got the most iconic movies coming to the platform in the months ahead, including Joker and Batman vs Superman [... ] As well as the global phenomenon that is Zack Snyder's Justice League," said President of Warner Media EMEA and Asia, Priya Dogra. Calling the film a "global phenomenon" is what sparked fans to finally feel heard and renewed the calls to revisit Snyder's plans for the DCEU.

Still, many fans wish Snyder well in his future endeavors, but others still want to see his full vision for the DCEU realized. After Snyder showed the full storyboards for what would have been his Justice League sequels, many fans just feel robbed of a very unique experience that would've been unprecedented in live-action comic book movie history.

Hopefully, Warner Bros. and DC take note of the continuous push from both talent and fans. If not, it would be good to give Snyder space to continue making the movies he wants, as it would be a shame if his name was tied to only the DCEU. The director has since got support for his Army of the Dead movie and fans are looking to support his next upcoming project, Netflix's Army of Thieves.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is now available on HBO Max.
