Alan Wake Remastered has added a few new QR codes for fans to scan that hint at the future of the horror title in a series of videos.

Alan Wake Remastered has a lot of collectibles found in the original: Coffee Thermoses, Manuscript Pages, TV Shows, and Radios amongst them. However, the remaster has also included the QR codes that were previously only found in the PC version of the original game.

Fans hoping for the rumors that Alan Wake 2 is in the early stages of development to be true should be excited that the QR codes have actually been updated for the remaster. Now they lead to mysterious private YouTube videos, instead of random links to gifs and quotes.

All New QR Code Locations in Alan Wake Remastered

QR Code 1 - Episode 1

The first QR code in Alan Wake Remastered is found right at the beginning of the game. As soon as players have control of Alan after the opening cutscene, they can start towards the objective. Soon after, Alan will have to go down a set of stairs with a billboard facing him. The code is stuck on the billboard beside the missing poster for Alan.

QR Code 2 - Episode 2

The second QR code can be found in Episode 2, during the flashback in Alan and Alice's apartment. Before switching the coffee maker on, go into Alan's study to find the code to the right of the window. There are also two Collectible Manuscript Pages in Alan Wake Remastered on the desk if players want some Alex Casey backstory.

QR Code 3 - Episode 4

The last QR code in Alan Wake Remastered can be found at the start of Episode 4 in Dr. Hartman's Clinic. The first chance players get to interact with it is when Alan is led to the main room of the building. Ignore the "follow Doctor Hartman" objective, and instead go up the stairs. The code is found between two paintings, opposite the TV set. There are also some collectible Coffee Thermoses in Alan Wake Remastered to find on this floor, and back in the main room.

Control is packed with Alan Wake references, and even had an entire DLC dedicated to the survival horror title. The information from the videos that the QR codes led to, and Control hints, has left many fans believing that Remedy is strongly hinting that an Alan Wake sequel is coming soon. Or, at least a Remedy game including Alan. However, until an official announcement is made, all fans can do is speculate.

Alan Wake Remastered is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
