Both Far Cry 4 and Far Cry 5 contained secret endings at the early stages of the game. These endings effectively ended the game early if the player decided to take the opposite path of what was expected of them. This usually requires making the choice to walk out on the rebels or survivors and leaving to go home in some way.
Unsurprisingly, Far Cry 6 features a similar choice just before the game opens up. As with its predecessors, this is considered the "bad ending" but also unlocks a missable achievement called "Hidden in Plain Sight." Missing this ending the first time round would mean replaying the early stages of the game again as there is no manual save system in Far Cry 6.

Unlocking The Secret Ending in Far Cry 6
The opening of Far Cry 6 introduces the player to its main character Dani, their ill-fated friends, the Island of Yara, and its ruthless dictator Anton Castillo. After a failed attempt to escape the island, ex-soldier Dani is quickly introduced to Clara Garcia and her band of rebels fighting to take back their freedom from Castillo.
Clara offers to help Dani escape to Miami in exchange for their help in taking on a few missions for the rebels known as the Libertad. It’s only when Dani has helped take down Castillo’s blockade in the 7th mission, Libertad Rises, that the choice between staying to fight or riding off into the sunset occurs.
Choose The Boat
At the very beginning of the mission “The Guerilla,” Dani will be standing on a small dock in Libertad Island. However, instead of getting Dani to walk towards the Libertad base to speak to Juan, turn around and get on the old boat that Clara has left for them at the dock.
Head South On The Map
Once Dani has decided not to take up Clara's offer of joining the Libertad, it's a good idea to check the map and head south away from the Libertad Island.
Set a marker on the map because it's easy to get misdirected in the open water and head toward it with the boat. This will eventually trigger a scene beginning with Dani apologetically saying "I'm sorry, Clara, not my fight," and the screen will fade to black.

Three Months Later
After the screen has faded to black, a cutscene will begin informing the player that three months have passed and Dani is living the dream on a beach in Miami. Meanwhile, a newsreader on the radio can be heard stating that the dictator Anton Castillo has defeated the Libertad, killed Clara, and put the country in lockdown.
The credits will roll and this will activate the Hidden in Plain sight achievement/trophy. From there, the player can quit the game and jump straight back into The Guerilla mission, or they can sit around enjoy listening to Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine’s Conga as the credits roll.
Far Cry 6 is available now for the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and the PC.
