Those collecting all of the Energy Tanks in Metroid Dread will have their work cut out for them, as some of these HP-boosting upgrades are locked behind puzzle-like situations and guarded by specific kinds of blocks. Players will have to use their fastest reflexes and wildest wits to reach the most tucked-away Energy Tanks.

Those seeking a particularly hard-to-obtain Energy Tank in Ferenia will need to make use of the Shinespark power granted by the Speed Booster that can be obtained in Dairon. As Energy Tanks will increase Samus' maximum energy (her health bar), it's highly recommended to pick them up whenever the player spots one in Metroid Dread.
How To Get From The Shuttle Station To The Energy Tank
Why & How This Method Works
While the concept of what to do is relatively easy, players may find it a bit tricky to time things properly due to Shinespark only lasting around 5 seconds. Thankfully, due to the way momentum is programmed into the game, players can keep moving to maintain their speed boost, which, in turn, will allow players to recharge Shinespark and keep it loaded and ready to go.
Before trying to collect this Energy Tank, or break any Speed Booster Blocks, players will definitely need the Speed Booster upgrade found in Dairon, so don't bother trying to grab this collectible unless one has this ability.
How To Get The Energy Tank
- Start from the shuttle station in Ferenia that connects to Dairon
- Begin running from the right of the room toward the left while speed-boosting to charge a Shinespark
- In the room to the left, use Shinespark to rocket up the slope and keep holding left
- As soon as one reaches the top of the slope, press down to recharge a Shinespark
- From there, quickly jump up and to the right, where one will find another slope
- Use Shinespark to run quickly up this slope and then press down again to recharge it
- Finally, use Shinespark one last time to launch Samus upward, thought the Speed Booster Blocks
- At the top of this vertical corridor, grab the ledge on the left to collect the Energy Tank
