Andy Muschietti has a surprise in store for the Flash at the upcoming DC Fandome.

The Flash director Andy Muschietti teased a 'surprise' for fans of the upcoming DC comic book superhero movie that will be shown during DC Fandome. The Flash will be the superhero's first live-action solo film.

Andy Muschietti serves as the director with Ezra Miller reprising the role he began with Zack Snyder. Both directors are known for dropping hints and clues to their films that offer fans a peek into the world that may not be seen in the film. Muschietti has been making sure to drop hint after hint for the upcoming film despite many leaks that reveal little by little of what the plot will entail.

Comic book movies have been notorious for having things leaked or shown before release. Most of the Flash movie's "surprises" have been revealed through people leaking photos of the set, behind the scenes insider information as well as interviews with actors. Right now fans know that Michael Keaton will return to the role of Batman, Ben Affleck will also reappear as Batman, Sasha Calle will be playing Supergirl, and there will be some form of time travel incorporated in the film.

Coming from Barbara Muschietti's Instagram, the director, Andy Muschietti, can be seen talking to the camera about a 'surprise' in store at DC Fandome. It's unclear what the 'surprise' is or what it means but the director has very notable works in the past (Mama, It & It Chapter Two) so fans should rest assured knowing the film is in good hands. Directing a horror film is all about the build-up to sell the jump scare, shock, or surprise so this should definitely be something good.

While many of these leaks would've made for amazing surprises for fans, it still doesn't paint the whole picture. Fans don't know how Keaton's Batman arrives on the scene or what Calle's Supergirl means for the series. So while it may feel like almost everything of importance was leaked, it seems that the director still has some things up his sleeve. The film also hasn't shown any footage so it's only up from here in terms of what the possibilities can be.

As far as the surprise goes, it's going to be hard to beat the fan hype for the idea of there being two Batmen in the same film and the idea of there being a new superhero introduction with Supergirl. Whatever the surprise may be, hopefully it's worth the wait! If it's not a trailer maybe it's a full cast list, maybe it's the return of Ray Fisher's Cyborg or maybe it's the confirmation of certain plot points. Only time will tell.

The Flash is slated for a November 4 2022 theatrical release
