Six titles are leaving Xbox Game Pass today as a part of the turnover process in the service, including some beloved indies and a big RPG.

Six titles are leaving Xbox Game Pass today. The popular subscription service is continuing to succeed, as recently a report claimed that there are around 25 to 30 million Xbox Game Pass subscribers. As a part of the natural process of the platform, games come and go. Today, a half dozen titles are leaving.

Two games were just added to Xbox Game Pass a few days ago, those titles being Back 4 Blood and Destiny 2: Beyond Light for PC. While first-party games are a part of the service indefinitely, other titles are often added to Game Pass for a window of time. With that in mind, some popular indies and a big RPG are exiting Xbox Game Pass today.

The games that are leaving Xbox Game Pass today include Gonner2, Heave Ho, Katana Zero, ScourgeBringer, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, and The Swords of Ditto: Mormo's Curse. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is a 45 plus hour RPG, so attempting to play the game today for a few moments may not be fruitful. However, Katana Zero can be completed in less than five hours, and Gonner2 is just a bit longer on average at around seven hours. So it is possible to complete one of the titles last minute before it leaves Xbox Game Pass.

It is not all bad news, as three day one releases were brought to Xbox Game Pass this week. That number includes The Good Life, a murder-mystery RPG that released just today. In general, the comings and goings of Xbox Game Pass titles is a natural process. So while it is sometimes sad to see a favorite leave the service, other games quickly replace it. Currently, there are over 400 Game Pass titles to enjoy on console with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and over 375 on PC.

Xbox Game Pass has had a very big year. The official addition of Bethesda brought many high-quality games to the service, along with the promise that they would now be on Xbox Game Pass on day one under the first-party umbrella moving forward. Meanwhile, big deals for titles like MLB The Show 21 and Back 4 Blood have propelled the service as well. With two more massive games in Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 still coming to Game Pass in the coming months, the year looks to be closing out rather strong as well.
