Microsoft adds three more day one games to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service, including the next-gen exclusive Riftbreaker.

Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service has been on a roll, constantly adding new games to the lineup. Lately it seems as though the number of day one Xbox Game Pass games have been increasing, with October seeing the addition of numerous day one Xbox Game Pass titles. And just between today and yesterday, Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service saw the debut of three more day one titles.

On October 14, Microsoft added two new day one Xbox Game Pass games in the form of Ring of Pain and The Riftbreaker. Ring of Pain is a dungeon crawling card game randomly generated dungeons that's earned some positive reviews. It technically released last year for PC and Nintendo Switch, but it still counts as a day one Xbox Game Pass game since it's just now making its Xbox debut.

Ring of Pain is available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers across PC, consoles, and the cloud. However, The Riftbreaker is a next-gen exclusive, so while it's playable on PC and cloud, Xbox One gamers will have to miss out on it for now. The Riftbreaker is a real-time strategy game that throws in some action-RPG elements to make it so players are more consistently engaged with the action.

  • The Good Life
  • The Riftbreaker

And finally, the latest day one Xbox Game Pass game is The Good Life. The Good Life is the latest surreal project from Swery, described as a "Debt Payment RPG." In The Good Life, players have to solve a murder mystery in the small town of Rainy Woods while interacting with its various residents. Anyone intrigued by The Good Life's premise can check it out on Xbox Game Pass on PC, console, and cloud.

This week has been a big one for day one Xbox Game Pass games in general. Earlier this week, Left 4 Dead spiritual successor Back 4 Blood hit Xbox Game Pass as a day one title, serving as one of the big triple-A day one Xbox Game Pass games releasing this fall. Other major day one Xbox Game Pass titles coming this year include Forza Horizon 5 in November as well as Halo Infinite in December.

In the more immediate future, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have other day one titles to look forward to, like the interesting indie game Moonglow Bay, launching on October 26. It's quite possible that there are unrevealed day one Xbox Game Pass games waiting in the wings as well, so fans will have to stay tuned to see what else Microsoft has in store for the next few months.
