With every massively popular title in the gaming sphere, there seems to be an equally massive amount of effort by players to find ways to break each game. This is seen in titles such as Genshin Impact, Destiny 2, and even something as casual as Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Amazon's New World is no exception, and given that the MMORPG has just been launched, there are still many bugs that fans can take advantage of. Now, New World players are breaking the game through exploiting a glitch that allows players to stand around and be invincible while online.
Many fans of Amazon Games's MMO would likely agree that the game had a notably rough start. The game experienced heavy server issues that angered many new players, and now, New World has longer maintenance times, which continue to irritate fans who only want to jump into the game. What's more, the player base itself seems to like creating problems within themselves, with faction wars and territory issues being constant topics in the online community.

Now, players are taking advantage of a recent New World issue that allows them to stand around and be invincible while remaining online. At first glance, this may not seem like much, given the glitch renders players immobile while invincible. However, since most of New World's gameplay revolves around territory wars between the three factions, having an invincible toon in the middle of capturing a point in a contested fortress is definitely a big advantage. If most players who are trying to conquer a fort in-game utilize the glitch, they will likely find themselves victorious at the end of the time limit.
On Twitter, user Gothalion pointed this glitch out, and even tagged the official New World account to give them visibility on the issue. Gothalion encouraged the development team to turn off the New World faction wars for now, and issue an emergency maintenance announcement to specifically address the invincibility glitch. Doing so will bring back fairness into the game, which will likely please fans who have experienced the invincibility bug first-hand.
Though New World continues to experience these types of issues, it is still very impressive how the title has reached the top of the Steam charts, and continues to remain on top, since its launch. Hopefully the development team prioritizes fixing the glitch, as this will likely help them keep their fanbase's interest and retain their massive amount of player numbers.
New World is out now for PC.
