Call of Duty: Warzone is bringing back the Haunting Halloween event, which will see the addition of Ghostface from Scream and other spooky skins.

Last year, Call of Duty: Warzone celebrated Halloween with a special event known as The Haunting. This event saw Call of Duty: Warzone players deal with the undead in a special Zombie Royale mode and gave them the opportunity to purchase skins based on Saw and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre from the item shop. Now Call of Duty: Warzone has pulled the curtain back on what fans can expect from this year's iteration of The Haunting.

As previously leaked, Call of Duty: Warzone will be adding skins based on Ghostface from Scream and Frank the Rabbit from Donnie Darko. The Call of Duty: Warzone Scream bundle includes Ghostface, "Violent End" Finishing Move, the "Cordless Phone" Weapon Charm, the "Scary Hours" Watch, three Legendary Weapon Blueprints, and an animated Emblem as well as an animated Calling Card. Players will also get the Ghost Blade melee weapon, which resembles the iconic knife that Ghostface uses on his victims in the Scream film franchise.

Call of Duty: Warzone fans that purchase the Donnie Darko bundle will get the Frank the Rabbit skin, the Sky is Falling Finishing Move, Epic-rarity cosmetic items, and three Legendary Weapon blueprints. It doesn't seem to be quite as extravagant as the Scream bundle, but it should still provide plenty for fans of the Donnie Darko film to enjoy.

There will be special Halloween-themed bundles for other Call of Duty: Warzone Operators when The Haunting event goes live, but in terms of gameplay, players can look forward to a special limited-time mode. Replacing the Zombie Royale mode from last year is Ghosts of Verdansk mode, which sees players turn into ghosts when they die instead of getting sent to the gulag. Ghosts that successfully kill other players and steal their souls will be able to spawn back into the action.

To add to the scares, Call of Duty: Warzone players will have to manage a Fear meter when playing the Ghosts of Verdansk limited-time mode. Various events can cause Call of Duty: Warzone players' Fear to increase, at which point players may start to experience hallucinations. Call of Duty: Warzone had plenty of jump scares as part of last year's Halloween event, and it seems they will be coming back in full force this year.

It should be noted that thanks to Call of Duty: Warzone's integration with Black Ops Cold War, this content will be shared between the two games. Black Ops Cold War players can also look forward to a special variation of the Nuketown multiplayer map that decks it out with Halloween decorations.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
