Through the Mists is a Genshin Impact quest that has four parts. Chise appears in the Octave of the Maushiro quest, the second part of the Through the Mists questline.
Chise was talking to Mata, rushing the priest to start the ceremony. He said that Ruu is nowhere to be found, yet, the Great Thunderbird has returned to Mt. Kanna. Therefore, Mata told Chise to look for Ruu in several places. One of the locations was Autake Plains.

Autake Plains is one of the places in Tsurumi that has the thickest fog. Before finishing the Through the Mists questline, this area is covered by an unremovable fog. Therefore, Genshin Impact players have to traverse through the land carefully. If they have been exploring for too long in the fog, travelers have to stand near a Stormstone. Otherwise, they will be teleported to the nearest Teleport Waypoint.
How To Help Chise In Genshin Impact
Chise's final wish before he crosses over with the Boatman involves Stormstones in Tsurumi Island. It's possible that Chise got lost in the area while looking for Ruu. Therefore, to help Chise, players have to light up Stormstones in Autake Plains.
All Stormstones Location For Chise's Quest
The Stormstones that need to be lit up are found between the Teleport Waypoint northwest of Mt. Kanna and the Teleport Waypoint west of Wakukau Shoal. There are eight other Stormstones in the area, but they are outside this zone, so players don't have to light them up.
Three Stormstones will only appear in the attached image when players use the Peculiar Pinion on the Thunderbird Statues (marked with the exclamation marks). There is a possibility that travelers don't need to light up these Stormstones. However, they should light them up, just in case.
To activate the Stormstone, players have to use an Electro attack. By using Elemental Sight, travelers can easily see which Stormstone is active and which one is not.
Before lighting all the Stormstones, Chise will say that his time is short. However, after fulfilling his request, Chise will ask if the Great Thunderbird has forgiven him.
After that, Chise will disappear, leaving a Precious Chest behind and granting travelers the Light Up the Fog achievement. The achievement grants five Primogems while opening the Precious Chest will grant 40 Primogems, 30000 Mora, and three Hero's Wits.
This reward is a little higher compared to other ghosts. For example, Ipe rewards 30 Primogems, 20000 Mora, and two Hero's Wits. This is understandable because Chise's request is the hardest among the nine spirits.
After travelers help Ruu make amends with the Thunderbird, the fog in Tsurumi Island will be lifted completely. This condition is the ideal time for players to finally explore the land. There are a lot of Remarkable Chests to open, Electroculus to collect, and puzzles to solve.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
