This past summer at the digital E3 2021, Square Enix surprised a lot of fans by devoting a big chunk of its time to Marvel. Not only did the company introduce the Avengers: War for Wakanda expansion, bringing Black Panther to the live service game, but it also introduced fans to Guardians of the Galaxy from Eidos Montreal. While this is Eidos Montreal's original take on the Marvel team, the game looks to keep the tone fans have come to know both from the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
