Even if Bungie's storytelling was always a breath of fresh air when it comes to sci-fi games and other media, the evolution of the narrative from Destiny to Destiny 2 was phenomenal. Destiny 2's story arcs became much more relevant and interesting than before over the past few years, and while vanilla Destiny 2's Red War was not bad, Forsaken was arguably miles ahead of it. In fact, Forsaken was the expansion that made Destiny 2 have one of the most interesting 180s in the recent history of video games, and it cemented some characters and locations as very iconic.
