While Marvel Studios' MCU films embrace the fantastic elements of the comics, an interesting and endlessly entertaining byproduct of movies striving for more and more realism is the increased tendency for experts in any given field to point out exactly what those movies are doing wrong. Hollywood has certainly come a long way since the days of squirting chocolate syrup out of a dude's costume to look like blood, to the point where it isn't uncommon for a film's effects to be nearly indistinguishable from real life. But with great ambition comes great critics, and sometimes these attempts at realism completely miss the mark.
