Pokemon fan art and fusions are nothing new. For nearly as long as the franchise has existed, fans have enjoyed art that depicted two Pokemon or more being combined. This sometimes even crosses over with other franchises or leads to fans creating new Pokemon, such as one artist who made starters based on Sonic, Mario, and Link.
