When the PlayStation 5 first launched, it did so with only one color for the console and one color for the DualSense controller - white. With the PlayStation 2, 3, and 4 being primarily black consoles with controllers to match, some PlayStation fans weren't thrilled with the color selections that the PS5 offered at launch. However, since the PS5 launched in November 2020, Sony has expanded its horizons by releasing a variety of new DualSense controller colors.
