Thanks to the third Spider-Man film, it’s now been confirmed that Ned has some sort of magic, which is why he was able to wield Doctor Strange’s sling ring. Ned also made a promise to Peter that he would never “turn into a supervillain and try to kill him,” after all three Spideys united and shared stories of their past.
