Today, Resident Evil fans celebrate the 24th anniversary of one of the most influential titles in survival-horror history, Resident Evil 2.

On this day in 1998, Capcom's Resident Evil 2 first launched onto PlayStation. Not to be confused with the critically acclaimed remake of Resident Evil 2, the original introduced players to new characters and enemies more than two decades prior.
