Picking up the Lost Legends book while playing The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim automatically triggers the quest Forbidden Legend. To complete it, the player must journey to three dungeons to acquire the pieces of an amulet, then head to a fourth dungeon to reforge it. Doing this grants the player a unique item known as the Gauldur Amulet.
