The Legend of Zelda series has been one of Nintendo's most popular and recognized franchises since the first game's release on the NES. Since the first top-down adventure game released in 1986, The Legend of Zelda series has taken multiple forms, such as the open-world Breath of the Wild. A sequel to Breath of the Wild will be the next major installment in the Legend of Zelda franchise, yet fans of the series are often looking back to earlier entries as much as they are looking forwards.
