As soon as the calendar flips over, many start looking forward to the first gaming presentations of the year. Sony, for example, recently had its first State of Play event (focused on Gran Turismo 7), and many are expecting a Nintendo Direct soon. This isn’t entirely without basis either. There has been a Nintendo Direct every February since 2012, with the sole exception of 2018 (where it happened in March).
