There are less than two weeks left for Destiny 2's big yearly release in the form of The Witch Queen expansion, which will take players into Savathun's Throne World, leading them into a fight against the Lucent Brood - Hive Lightbearers with powers mirroring those of the Guardians. To fight them, players will enlist the Cabal empress Caiatl in the premise of Season of the Risen, obtaining the Light-suppressing technology developed by Psions during the events of Season of the Chosen. This includes the new seasonal artifact that Destiny 2 players will be able to wield, as seen from the new footage for the expansion.
