Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath had a real bad string of luck when it was originally released in 2005. It was released in the dumping ground month of January, its PS2 port was canceled, and publisher Electronic Arts failed to properly market the game. As a result, the game didn’t find an audience and was a failure at launch, only selling around 600,000 copies when it needed to sell 1.6 million just to break even. Luckily, the creators of the game have since remastered the game and re-released it in an HD port.
