Late last year, Final Fantasy 14 launched its long-awaited Endwalker expansion, the MMO's fifth major DLC and the follow-up to 2019's Shadowbringers. This was the culmination of a decade of storytelling within the MMO, with plenty of new content for fans to enjoy. After several delays, it launched to critical and commercial success, and the game is showing no signs of slowing down. It was so popular, in fact, that at one point before Endwalker's release, digital copies of Final Fantasy 14 were sold out for a little while. While additional keys were generated and more players joined in, the game briefly needed to stop being sold.
