The long-awaited return of the Star Trek spinoff series, Picard officially arrived on Thursday morning and along with the second season came quite a few friends, both old and new. Some of those friends, in fact, are quite old and go all the way back to the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. This first episode appears to be a kind of reset of the series. There are certainly ties to the first season, but it appears that the show has decided to go in an entirely different direction. At least so far, it appears that was a very good decision.
