For many, the sight of Doom being rebooted in 2016 with Eternal following up a few years later has enabled the franchise to be welcomed back to the limelight with open arms. As one of the most important FPS games of the 1990s, if not of all time, id Software's original games helped establish the genre, inspiring shooters to this day. However, there was a time when the new Doom game was going to be something different to what was launched, and some new images have been doing the rounds which show what some of the characters were going to look like.
