Loot and plunder play a major role in nearly all RPGs, as they can often be used by the player to trade or purchase valuable items like swords, armor, and potions. With that said, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim does things a little different when compared to other open-world video games on the market, as loot can be found in more places than just treasure chests and trunks, with Skyrim players being able to pickpocket civilians then help themselves to whatever spoils said civilians had in their inventory.
