Combat is one of the features that sets Stardew Valley apart from many of its contemporaries. With that combat system of course comes various weapons to use to defeat the monsters players will encounter. Some of the most powerful weapons in Stardew Valley that have been in the game since launch, the Galaxy weapons, can now be upgraded into their Infinity forms.
Before players can turn a Galaxy weapon into an Infinity weapon, they will of course need to first unlock the Galaxy weapons. To do so, players will first need access to the Calico Desert which is granted after completing the Vault Bundles in the community center or by paying Joja to repair the bus stop. Once at the Calico Desert, players will likely notice three pillars at the top right of the map. Those pillars are the key to getting the Galaxy Sword which will need to be obtained before the Galaxy Dagger or Galaxy Hammer can be obtained.

To get the Galaxy Sword, players need to take a prismatic shard and stand in the center of the three pillars. Prismatic shards are some of the rarest items in the game, but there is a 25% percent chance of obtaining one from breaking opening a mystic stone in the Skull Cavern, Volcano Dungeon, or Level 100+ in the mines. There's also a 4% chance of getting one from an iridium node or a treasure room in Skull Cavern. Every other method of obtaining one has a less than 1% chance of occurring.
Once a prismatic shard is turned into the Galaxy Sword, the Galaxy Dagger and Galaxy Hammer will become available for purchase at the Adventurer's Guild back in the valley. Once players have their preferred weapon type in their possession, they can start working towards getting the Infinity version of it. To do so, they will need to obtain three Galaxy Souls.
These are fairly difficult to obtain. Before they can even be purchased, players must find at least 100 golden walnuts on Ginger Island. One they do that, they can meet with Mr. Qi on the westmost side of the island.
There, Mr. Qi will present the player with various challenges similar to the special requests board back in town. Completing these challenges will reward the player with Qi Gems. With 40 Qi Gems, players can purchase one Galaxy Soul. So 120 total Qi Gems will be needed to upgrade a Galaxy weapon to an Infinity weapon. There are two other ways to get Galaxy Souls, but they're similar to the first. During Qi's quests, Danger in the Deep and Skull Cavern Invasion, defeating monsters can result in them dropping Galaxy Souls. Defeating 50 monsters unique to these quests will also allow Galaxy Souls to be purchased from the Island Trader on the last day of each season for 10 Radioactive Bars. Radioactive ore is obtained by completing the Danger in the Deep quest and then activating the Shrine of Challenge on floor 120 of the mine. The mine will be remixed with more difficult enemies, but radioactive ore can also be mined.
Once 3 Galaxy Souls have been obtained, players need to take them and their desired Galaxy weapon to the forge. They will also need a total of 60 Cinder Shards which can be mined and dropped from enemies in the Volcano Dungeon. The forge is located on the 10th level of the Volcano Dungeon. Once there, players simply need to interact with the apparatus, fuse a Galaxy Soul with a Galaxy weapon for the cost of 20 Cinder Shards. They will then need to repeat this 2 more times to get their Infinity weapon.
Stardew Valley is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
