Outriders' full launch is just about a month away, but in the meantime, players can dive into the demo to get a taste of the game. There's a lot to really be done in this opening, all the way from choosing which Outriders class to play in the main game to getting a feel for the game's adrenaline-pumping combat.
Perhaps the best part of this demo is how everything players find can be transferred into the main game upon release. Outriders demo players can check out every class, get them to level 7, hit World Tier level 5, and acquired a ton of loot in the span of this first taste. All of this will be available when they continue the main game in April, but for the demo, this also includes finding legendary loot.

There's a couple of ways to grind for legendary loot in the Outriders demo. One method can see players using the select story point from the lobby to complete missions and open the loot boxes found at the end/in many places, but as this requires constant exiting, loading, and fighting the way to the loot box, it's not the fastest method. There's no known way to generate legendary loot at every drop, but there is one method that is at least more direct.
Seemingly first discovered by YouTuber ImPwnstar and independently verified by Game Rant, there is a boss in the Terra Firma mission who drops legendary loot at a decent rate. It's still a grind, with about 30 runs resulting in a ton of good loot but only one piece of legendary loot for us, but it's more direct, more straightforward, and more entertaining. Essentially, players will need to load a story point with which they can access the Terra Firma mission. Players will need to fight their way through the first area, at which point they'll reach a small blockade and checkpoint with its own loot box and restock box.
This is where Outriders players will reload upon death in the upcoming area; there is a Captain up ahead who can drop loot that players want to get to first. Ignoring all enemies, players should proceed to run into the area, cross the bridge, go right, and catch the Captain as he exits a doorway. As seen above in ImPwnStar's video, players with the right kit (which can take some fine-tuning) can then melt this boss in 30 seconds or 1 minute, receiving plenty of greens and blues in the process. After defeating him, players can just let the surrounding enemies finish them off, respawn, and rinse and repeat.
Again, this is still a loot grind for the Outriders demo, and it's not something where players can spend 1 hour on and receive every legendary weapon in the game. However, it's much more direct than other methods and really buffs up The Trickster, Devastator, Pyromancer, or Technomancer (whatever is being played) while enjoying the game's combat.
Outriders releases April 1 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The demo is available now.
