NICKMERCS unveils his overpowered LC10 SMG loadout, the newest SMG for Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Season 2 has arrived for Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. While there have some hiccups when it comes to the Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War integration, the positive result is that the new content from season two of Black Ops Cold War is able to be brought over to Warzone as well, meaning there are new toys to play with. One of those new weapons is the LC10 SMG.

The LC10 SMG has impressive range and a fast fire-rate, making it an early candidate for a weapon that may become the new meta. Players often utilize a new gun more than others, just out of curiosity if nothing else, but Twitch and YouTuber stars such as NICKMERCS seem to have quickly found out that the gun has the ability to be overpowered with the right set up.

Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff released a video showcasing what he called in the title, an "overpowered" loadout for the LC10 SMG which unlocked in the battle pass. NICKMERCS does admit in the video itself that the gun has its flaws. The time to kill (TTK) is rather low compared to some of the stronger SMGs, meaning the gun will feel a bit weak at times and in certain situations. However, NICKMERCS says the loadout is very fun to use. The exact specifics are as follows:

  • Muzzle: Flashguard .45 APC
  • Barrel: 12.5 Extended
  • Underbarrel: Foregrip
  • Stock: Wire Stock
  • Ammunition: 42 Round Speed Mag

As far as the reasoning behind each attachment, the Foregrip, Wire Stock, 12.5 Extended barrel, and Flashguard muzzle help give the gun a bit more power at range, along with making it more accurate, negating the recoil. Meanwhile, the 42 Round Speed Mag is extremely useful in that it gives the weapon a few extra bullets before each reload, which is especially useful given the fact that the TTK is not extremely high compared to other Warzone weapons.

The new SMG does not seem like it will be quite as overpowered as the MAC-10, a weapon that drew the ire of much of the Call of Duty community when Warzone and Black Ops Cold War was first integrated. That is likely a good thing, as a single gun completely dominating is not good for balance. However, if the LC10 provides fun gameplay and is an excellent choice in specific situations--especially with the type of loadout that NICKMERCS has provided--then it may be an excellent and fair new weapon.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
