The highly-supported casting of Emily Blunt as Sue Storm in Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four film is imagined in a new Deepfake video.

There have been a lot of discussions about which actors will suit up as the Fantastic Four in Jon Watts' upcoming MCU project. In the case of Sue Storm, some fans have been pushing for Jessica Alba to reprise her iconic role, but since such casting is unlikely at this point in time, several others have suggested alternate actors who could fill in for her and one of the top picks is A Quiet Place star, Emily Blunt.

YouTuber Stryder HD,  who is known for his amazing work with Deepfake technology, recently posted a video online in which Blunt's face was placed over those of Jessica Alba and Kate Mara, who both portrayed Sue Storm in previous Fantastic Four films. The video portrays a blond-haired and blue-eyed Blunt in memorable scenes, such as when Sue Storm held up a Ferris wheel with her force field powers, as well as the character's face-to-face encounter with the Silver Surfer.

Joining Blunt among the top fan picks for the Fantastic Four casting is her real-life husband, John Krasinski. Many people would like to see Krasinski suit up as Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic, but Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed who they've cast for the role. Still, there are rumors that Krasinski will be involved in some way (whether as Reed Richards or not) near the end of WandaVision's first season, though Marvel Studios is still in the early stages of developing their plans for Marvel's First Family.

Such rumor seemed to coincide with a previous theory that Reed Richards was the mystery aerospace engineer in contact with Monica Rambeau in the Disney+ series. However, such a rumor has now been debunked. In the seventh episode, titled "Breaking the Fourth Wall", the character was revealed to be someone else entirely with no comic book history.

Unfortunately for fans, it may still be too early to get any significant updates on the MCU's Fantastic Four. The latest reveal was given by Justin Kroll, the senior reporter for Deadline, who tweeted that Marvel Studios is currently meeting with writers for the superhero team's developing film.

The film has been a long-time goal of the studio since the Disney/Fox merger, and the Fantastic Four reboot was finally announced at Disney Investor Day as one of the projects Marvel Studios has in store for the MCU's Phase 4. That said, Kroll says that they still haven't officially hired the writer (or writers) for the project and that there is currently no script or target release date (though many believe it will come in 2023).

We will just have to wait and see what Marvel has in store for the titular team of heroes. For now, fans can get excited over the other MCU films expected to be released this year, including Black Widow (May 7), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (July 9), Eternals (November 5), and the untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel (December 17).

Fantastic Four is now streaming on Disney Plus.
