Previously, the publisher has published games like Hotline Miami, My Friend Pedro, and Katana Zero, all of which focus on fast gameplay where dying is never too much of a problem thanks to an almost instant respawn mechanic. Since the release of these popular titles, Devolver Digital has become known for publishing unique and interesting games for indie fans and wider audiences, recently having shown off five new games at its Devolver Digital Showcase during Summer Game Fest.
