Much has been said about the return of the General Manager Mode in WWE 2K22 and its entertaining Showcase Mode featuring Rey Mysterio. However, the backbone and the reason to keep returning to a WWE 2K wrestling game has been the Universe Mode. It replaced the franchise's General Manager Mode in 2010 with WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011.
