Fans will likely see Agatha on their screens again, and Wanda might just need to call on her guidance at some point.

The following contains spoilers for the WandaVision finale.

The finale of WandaVision has finally hit, and Wanda Maximoff's story has been wrapped up...at least for now. The series finale (aptly titled "Series Finale") finally gave fans a glimpse at the Scarlet Witch, though the full extent of her powers likely hasn't been seen yet. WandaVision gave fans an epic finale fight between witches as Wanda and Agatha Harkness finally faced off against each other, in a blur of spells and blasts of red and purple.

Their battle ends with Wanda imprisoning Agatha in Westview indefinitely, forcing her to stay as her Agnes character (the "nosy neighbor") while Wanda releases the rest of the town from her control. Though this seems like an end to the character, it's likely that fans will get to see Agatha on their screens again, and that Wanda might just need to call on her guidance sometime in the future.

Agatha is a deeply interesting character in the context that she's been established on WandaVision. It would be a waste for Marvel to not bring her back in some way and expand on the character, especially because Katheryn Hahn and her performance of the character have become such a favorite amongst fans. However, this is probably not going to be an issue, as the final conversation between Wanda and Agatha hints that their futures may still be intertwined.

Just before Wanda turns Agatha back into Agnes, Agatha tells her that Wanda will need her guidance. This is a reference to the fact that in the comics, Agatha acts as a mentor figure to Wanda. It's also clear that Wanda is new to witch magic, and could use a guide, though it's understandable that she doesn't trust Agatha enough to let that be her role right now. Wanda replies that she knows where to find Agatha if she needs her. This might be a hint that sometime in the future, Wanda will be in need of someone who is an expert on witches, and she'll have to go back to Agatha for help.

It's clear from the post-credits scene that Wanda is attempting to refine her powers and learn more about witch magic (or perhaps the chaos magic that is specific to the Scarlet Witch) and what she can do with it. She has the Darkhold and appears to be studying it, and importantly, she hears the sounds of her children yelling. It's not exactly clear what this is supposed to be in reference to, but it may be that though Wanda created her children in the Hex, they are still beings with human souls that are now trapped in another dimension, perhaps a Hell dimension. In the comics, Agatha reveals to Wanda that her children were made from fragments of the demon Mephisto's soul, and wipes Wanda's memory of them to spare her the pain of losing them when they are unmade and reabsorbed into Mephisto.

WandaVision did not bring Mephisto into the MCU, though perhaps he could make an appearance later on, especially if Wanda needs to go on some sort of mission to save her children from Hell or wherever else they may be trapped. It's very likely that Billy and Tommy will come back into the MCU in some way (in the comics, they are reincarnated into two different families), because there are hints that the MCU is setting up the Young Avengers. If this is the case, Agatha could be a part of bringing them back or revealing their true heritage as the sons of Scarlet Witch and the Vision. Since Wanda clearly has not had her memory of her family wiped in the MCU version of events, she will probably attempt to get them back in any way she can. This attempt at saving her children might also be what causes problems in the multiverse, which could lead to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Wanda is already set to be in the film, which will be especially interesting considering her newly unlocked powers and how Agatha claims (according to legend) that the Scarlet Witch's power exceeds that of the Sorcerer Supreme. It remains to be seen whether Doctor Strange and the Scarlet Witch will be working with or against each other in the upcoming film, but it appears Wanda does not want to cause any more harm and might work with Stephen Strange to fix whatever is going on with the multiverse (perhaps after she herself breaks it). Wanda may need Agatha's expertise on ancient magic to help her, and Agatha might turn out to be an asset within that film. There's also a chance that she'll break free of Wanda's control and become a villainous figure again, perhaps working with Mephisto if he comes into the MCU, or just as a free agent trying to stop Wanda and take her powers once again.

Marvel definitely seemed to be implying that Agatha will return in the future, perhaps even the near future, and she would be a very interesting character to bring back into the fold. Clearly, she is going to be hostile to Wanda at first, and perhaps refuse to help if she is asked, but eventually, we might see either a begrudging alliance or another all-out battle. It would be a shame if the finale of WandaVision is the last time we ever saw Katheryn Hahn in the MCU, but there seems to be a good chance that everyone's favorite nefarious witch will make another grand entrance into the universe sometime soon.
