Gaming servers and services shutting down is a common thing that happens in the industry. When certain systems are no longer supported, companies will need to transition to the latest in order to keep up-to-date with the latest technology. Ubisoft is also shutting down online services for certain games, many of these being older titles that have been released on a number of older systems. This includes games from the company's flagship IP Assassin's Creed, which will shut down these services in September. One game that wasn't listed in the initial announcement but will also be affected is Assassin's Creed Liberation HD.
