A Minecraft player recreates the main campus building of UA High School from the popular manga and anime series My Hero Academia.

As many know, Minecraft is an open-world sandbox game that lends itself well to creativity and ingenuity. The Minecraft community is known for impressive builds, whether they be entire adventure maps, faithful recreations of real-world landmarks, or recreations of popular structures found in pop culture.

It's often a treat to see what some of the most dedicated Minecraft builders can pull off in-game, especially with the help of mods and shaders. Now, one Minecraft player has recreated the main campus building of UA High School from My Hero Academia, and the presentation of the build looks great.

Pictures of the build come by way of the Boku No Hero Academia subreddit, where user fyrados posted six screenshots of their build from different angles. The post shows screenshots from outside the building as well as screenshots showing the closer interior section of the build. Although it only consists of the main building itself, leaving out the front gate as well as some of the surrounding scenery, it's still quite impressive. Thanks to some of the Minecraft shaders that fyrados is using, the glossy blue texture of the UA campus building looks amazing during the in-game sunset.

However, those who want to see more than just screenshots of the impressive build are in luck. Fyrados captured a timelapse of the build that shows the entire building process, from laying the foundations all the way up to completion. While the screenshots are impressive in their own right, the timelapse really shows just how much effort went into recreating My Hero Academia's UA High School. All in all, the entire video is about two-and-half minutes long, and it's worth a watch.

There have been plenty of impressive builds in Minecraft over the years, ranging in scope from small to incredibly large. For example, one Minecraft player recreated Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, which came complete with detailed interiors and even NPCs like Barbas the dog. Though these are somewhat small in scope, the attention to detail afforded to more focused builds are pretty incredible. Though Minecraft's blocky art style and aesthetic sometimes limits what players can do, it also presents an interesting challenge for players to overcome.

On the other hand, sometimes players make massive builds in Minecraft that take multiple months and even years to fully complete. For example, one player recreated the entire game of Ocarina of Time in Minecraft, from start to finish. What's more, that build was done entirely in vanilla Minecraft, meaning there were no mods used during the building process whatsoever. At the end of the day, no matter how big the scope of some of these Minecraft builds, they never fail to impress.

Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
