Psyonix announces an extension of Rocket League’s second season of competitive play, offering players an additional month to climb its ranked tiers.

Good news for players lagging behind on their Rocket League ranked grind – Psyonix has officially extended Season 2 of competitive play by a month. The second season of Rocket League is extended to April 7, giving players more time to earn the recently revealed set of Season 2 Competitive Rewards.

Along with the Season 2 extension announcement, Psyonix unveiled the new set of competitive rewards up for grabs. Boosts are the latest season end reward making their way to player garages. There are up to eight unique boosts available for players to claim depending on ranked placement, ranging from Bronze I to Supersonic Legend.

For the extraordinary vehicular soccer players out there, Grand Champion and Supersonic Legend title rewards will also be distributed for those who achieve the rank in each game type: Competitive, Rumble, Hoops, Snow Day, and Dropshot.

Season 2 of Rocket League kicked off last December, providing fans a new season of competitive play and more than 70 tiers of cosmetics to earn. Player Anthems made their customization debut, along with a new line of unlockable content like decals, paint jobs, and wheels.

There is no mention of whether or not the Rocket Pass is also being extended. The Rocket Pass was introduced as Rocket League made the transition to free to play last summer. Though it was not explicitly mentioned, it would be surprising if Psyonix did not also offer a time extension to those hoping to complete Season 2’s battle pass.

Rocket League is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
