One of the biggest selling points of gaming PCs over their console counterparts is versatility. While consoles can function as all-around media stations, gaming PCs can also be workstations or modified into something entirely different. That modification comes in all shapes and sizes, even down to the size of the Nintendo Switch in the case of the Aya Neo, a portable gaming PC capable of running Cyberpunk 2077.
While Cyberpunk 2077 has had more than its fair share of technical trouble, the game is graphically impressive when running on PCs. That fact alone makes it a bit baffling to see it running on the Aya Neo, which is approximately the size and shape of the Nintendo Switch, just with the power of a gaming PC.

Of course, there isn't anything as hulking as an Nvidia RTX 30-Series card in the device, but it does still pack a punch relative to its size, similar to what one would find in a mid-spec gaming laptop. It has 16GB of RAM, an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U, and an AMD Vega 6 GPU packed inside a shell with a 7" screen. According to Aya's website, the device clocks in at an "early bird" price of $699, which isn't absurd considering its portability. Aya also advertises a 90-minute charge time and up to 6 hours of playtime, though battery life will likely depend on which game is being played.
Those looking to pick up the Aya Neo now are out of luck, as the device appears to be ramping up for a run on IndieGoGo for funding. Early units have been sent out to some people, according to the website, which is where early footage of the system running games is coming from. There doesn't appear to be a full launch date for the device or its IndieGoGo campaign quite yet, though those interested in it are able to sign up for updates.
The Nintendo Switch has dominated the handheld scene for the past few years, though handheld PCs are nothing new. The gaming community tends to tinker with hardware, which has led to PCs and consoles being shrunk down to handheld sizes from their original form factors. It might not be the absolute best way to play games, but being able to play them on the go is a big perk.
Cyberpunk 2077 is still available on PC storefronts despite being pulled from the PlayStation network, so anyone looking to play it on the go may want to keep their eyes open for Aya Neo updates.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
