Players discover that a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War bed can provide some safety from specific Zombies types in the mode.

While there have been glitches, bugs, and other similar tactics used by Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players in the past, a new Zombies strategy has offered a new "safe zone." This bug will almost certainly be patched, but for the time being, it should help players that are struggling in Zombies, or just looking for some breathing room.

On many maps, there are spots where the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War zombies do not travel. From slight hills to standing on top of objects, players have found a variety of places where they can avoid death by the horde. Recently, a player discovered an unusual spot that stops the Megaton Blaster and bomber Zombies from attacking.

In a Reddit post by nerdy_the_artist, the player showcases a unique situation with two highly volatile undead. This Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies fan discovered that by hiding on the bed in the elevated cabins of Ruka, they could avoid death by Megaton Blaster and Bomber undead. In the clip, the player uses this opportunity to showcase the zombie idle animations while safely perched on the small bed. It is unknown if this prevents normal zombies from attacking, but the video is evidence that it does stop the explosive alternatives.

The bed is located near the scorched field where the Holdout Crystal spawns. Players can enter the building and climb atop the bed for a moment of safety. While this Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies glitch likely won't be active for a long time, players are now using it to experiment with other undead varieties.

Players in the comments are making jokes about the safety that many kids feel when in their beds. Comments include references to hiding under the covers, ensuring that feet are properly secured, and waiting for the scary undead to go away.

Treyarch tends to repair Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombie bugs rather quickly, but it is unknown if they are aware of this particular problem. Since it impacts Zombies and not Warzone or multiplayer, it likely won't be as high on the priority list. Bugs and glitches in Zombies aren't really impacting anyone else's fun. Until then, players can find minor safety among the soft linens of this particular upstairs bedroom.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
